Shimmer….. an all girl group, comprising  sisters Marlize, Chazelle and Michelle have been singing with a passion since childhood. Their love for music has strong influences from Pop, Rock, R&B and Hip Hop genres. This combined with their versatility to sing all the oldies as well, enables them to perform music appealing to a wide range of audiences. 

 

Individually their performances are breathtaking, however combined, Shimmer enthralls crowds with their encapsulating dance moves and complimentary vocals. Chazelle is the very bubbly outspoken lead vocalist, Marlize is the quiet thoughtful one where Michelle injects raw attitude into the group and it’s performance.

 Shimmer have performed at a numerous music venues and showcases in KZN such as Ushaka Marine world, Suncoast Casino, Golden Horse Casino, Pietermaritzburg City Hall, Vodacom Beach Africa Festival, Midlands Winter Festival, The Durban Arts Festival, to name a few, performing both covers and original compositions from their upcoming CD. They regularly perform at various corporate promotions and club venues where their fresh new talent is always a hit.  

 

Shimmer have  launched their debut EP album in March 2007 with five original songs penned by Chazelle, the groups talented songwriter.  A new single release “De JA Vue” is scheduled for July 2007 where Shimmer collaborated with a Rap artists in a powerful R&B release.  

 

Currently in the early days of their career, Shimmer are working hard to finalize their debut album, which is due for release soon. In the mean time these girls heralding from Pinetown, will be performing wherever they can to enthrall audiences and wow the crowds as they poise to dazzle music lovers all over the world.
