We are the band Six Days and Rest and we are local band out of the Denver, Colorado area. We have been together in our current form since August of 2010. Our members include Jaslyn and Angela on Vocals, Jeff on electric and acoustic guitars, Matt on the drums and Greg on the bass. We like to consider ourselves a Contemporary Christian band with an emphasis in worship. The foundation of our sound comes from each of our member’s experiences in playing in church worship bands. All of our members are or have been part of a worship team and we draw on that experience to write our music and perform it live. Our number one mission in to lead God’s people in a new and refreshing time of worship that can touch and restore the hearts of those that are in the midst of the battle. We are always looking for an opportunity to play and share the music that God has given us. We are looking to get all of our music record and out into the hands of those that want it and need it. We would also like to be able to play bigger Christian Music shows and festivals and to eventually be able to turn this into a full time gig for all of us and at the same time being lead by the Lord and allowing Him to use this band as His tool. For example our song “Renew Me” was written by a law enforcement officer with the purpose to reach to and encourage his fellow officers and emergency workers that see the worst life has to offer on a daily basis. The song has been well received among the law enforcement community. We have received requests to use the song as part of officer memorials as well as a part of a national law enforcement conference.
