The Biography Of Sleepyeye

 

　

Joseph Jefferson, known as Sleepyeye, was born on September 28^{th 1982 in Los Angeles California. He’s lived in Texas, Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, Arkansas, & Baltimore. Sleepyeye grew up in a household of four children and was raised by his Mother due to his pops being murdered in Baltimore, MD in 1991. These events lead Sleepeye to become a strong independent individual with a strong family oriented personality and focus to keep his family together.}

　

In 1996 he started CityWyde records. Moett, Fattz, and Intrigue, Black aka Novocaine were the first artist under CityWyde records. In 2002 all artist except Sleepyeye and Intrigue remained and formed CityWyde the group.They dropped their Album "Ridin&Swirvin" with the hit single "Ridin&Swirvin"that was played on 93.9/ 95.5. After their success they released their second album called

"Fast Lane" "Da Come Up" "The Movement "& " We Got This.

　

For the time period Seepyeye and Intrigue worked together they did collaborations with artist like "Da Mayer’’and Da Government colobo "mixtape" "Game Time"

"Fatal Sinz" colobo mixtape "CityWyde and Fatal Sinz" presents "That Fire".

Sleepyeye and Intrigue did tracks with some of the following artists like Text Sosa, Porche 911, Fiya, Buckhead records, Druse, Trust, X Caliba, and Nile Numan.

In 2006 Sleepyeye and Intrigue decided to go their own ways and pursue solo projects.

He started off with his first mixtape in the summer of 2006, known as "60 seconds of Heat vol.1" Titled "Off Da Dome" In December he dropped his second mixtape,

60 Seconds of heat Vol. 2 "Recharged "mixtape". he followed up with his first solo album "Only One Tru".

Sleepyeye has also formed a group called "BlockStars" with "Fattz" They put out the Album called "Money Fold University" and Mixtape.

In 2007 Sleepyeye formed a group called "Blockboys" with D&D/Da Nigga Dell they released the Album "Na Moe" / mix tape "Off Bucks".

2010 he hooked with his brother Bone, Catalac Tone, Uncle Vern, & D-Rock to do a major coloboration of music we call " Round 1" . He also joined together with his brother Bone to do a "mix-tape" called " Higher Education" & "BloodBrothas"

Sleepyeye continued to work on his Solo work by coming out with "60 Seconds Of Heat Vol. 3" a double cd mixtape. Named " I’m A CityWyde Nigga". To follow "60 Seconds Of Heat Vol.4 City Lights/Life" mix-tape, " Best Of The Best double cd", "CheckerWorld".double cd

Feb.2010 "For Da Love Of Sleep mix-tape" "Sleepyeye Lost Tapes the Album" all original beats, "Sleepyeye Only One Tru" "60 Seconds Of Heat Vol. Whateva" mixtape, "Chasem Down Son the mixtape"
