Slugo Mac is a leader and the creator of a new urban style of reggae music. His music is spiritual, uplifting and has a positive message. With a blended mix of Reggae, Hip Hop, Gospel and R&B his music is intended to reach all ages and races of people throughout the world. Starting off in his church choir, on the Southside of Chicago, Slugo Mac discovered his talent in singing at a very young age. It was soon thereafter when his interest in songwriting began to catch the ear of others and this is when he decided to take part in an annual competition hosted by WGCI radio station. Hundreds of contestants tried out for the WGCI Miller Genuine Draft Contest but only few became finalist and Slugo Mac was one them performing with the first song he ever wrote titled , "Jammin". For a while Slugo Mac had to put his music on the back burner to take care of his family. Although his music was put on hold he knew that it was only temporary so he never stopped singing, he never stopped writing, he never stopped dreaming. Slugo Mac regained focus of what he loved doing the most; producing and writing songs that uplift people while moving the crowd with his unique style of music. It became evident that when he came back into the music game he was ready to give the world something they never heard before. In summer of 2009 Slugo Mac surprised his family and friends by recording his first video, “Celebration”, at his annual Fourth of July Barbeque. Since then he has recorded and produced many songs and looks forward to releasing his first album entitled, “Celebration of Life”.
