They call me SmoQ Digga Dogg or just SmoQ Dogg for short; I have been carrying this moniker for over 10 years though I only recently started rhyming under this name in the last 5. I got to tell you my alter ego is crucial.

SmoQ Dogg represents the go getter in me and in us all. When the chips are down we need the Digga Dogg around to make things nice n sound.

 

 SmoQ Dogg is here to show you how this thing should be done, from stacking your paper to mackin your pretty ass neighbor.  The Digga Bros camp is crunked and ready to ride out on those sorry MC’s who forgot what this lyrical dexterity means.

Yes it is cool you can rhyme the same word 20 times, but what are those sucka’s really saying to our people;

The sad answer is: NOTHING.

We spit these lyrics about how to do this and not just the fact that we do this thing called life

To fullest and utmost top of the line all time.

Who will be the new voice of our music, what will the messages contain, more of the disdain for women, talking bout hoochies and strippers, I guess those are good professions for making a living but when I grew up these were minimal topics not expressed in every other song and not so prominently broadcast by mass media. 

 

Now this mess is all I hear.  I am not knocking anyone in particular but dam...............There used to be true messages in our music.  Who will take up this mantra and once again evolve the face of hip hop/ rap music.......

 

Artist will always need to use pop culture to be heard, ya know that sex sells......but once you get to the top or get recognized what else do you have to say...

 

Make sure your music speaks to the mind as well as the body

 

and we can reach one and teach one with every song...........

 

what's your message to your music.....is it the one you want your 6 yr old daughter to hear and live by.........think about it sometimes........
