Phyllis is a dynamic R&B singer with energy and charisma. She has sung with local favorites: Under Suspicion, Soul Tight Committee, Lamont Cranston and the Butanes Soul Review.

Phyllis has been nominated for several local music awards. They are Best R&B vocalist for the Upper Mississippi Blues Awards, and also for these Minnesota Music Awards: Best R&B Recording, Best R& B /Blues band, and Best Blues band.

Phyllis has also been a showcased singer for Whiskey Junction’s “Singing the Blues.” She played “Celeste Romano" in the off Broadway play, “Tony and Tina’s Wedding” that ran at the infamous Hey City Theater in Minneapolis. She also adds her credits, Under Suspicion's "Guilty" CD and back up vocals on several locally produced CD projects. She has warmed up or sang with such national acts as Johnny Winter, Molly Hatchet, Bachman Turner Overdrive, and Joey Molland of Badfinger. 

Tony Rousseau - Sax/Lead Vocals

Originally from Portsmouth New Hampshire, Tony brings his background in blues and jazz to the band. At a very young age of 13 he started his career playing the sax. Tony was selected to play in the all state Jazz Ensemble as a featured soloist. He's played with local favorites such as Under Suspicion, K&Q, Renee Austin, High and Mighty, Tom Hunter and Billy Holloman. Some of Tony's influences are SRV, Eric Clapton, Charlie Parker John Coltrane, Bill Withers. Tony has a great singing voice that you are sure to enjoy.

Kurt Nistler - Guitar/Vocals

A ten year veteran of the local music scene, Kurt has played with the likes of Chuck, Under Suspicion, Renee Austin, and fronted his own jazz project, KNQ, that released a CD in 2000.  With influences ranging from Wes Montgomery to Jimi Hendrix, Kurt rhythms are as funky as his leads are wailing!

Ted Byrne - Bass

Bringing his influences of Stanley Clark and Louis Johnson, Ted truly  gives the funk and soul in Soul Foundation!  A fantastic bassist, Ted has played with several local bands.  Ted's funky bass licks will get you up to dance.

Mark Sullivan- Keyboards

Mark leads his credits to playing with such artists as Prince, and Joe Juliano.  He has dynamic keyboard rhythms with tasteful melodic leads.  He is an accomplished player who is in high demand in the Twin Cities.

Lee Delacruz - Drums

The driving force behind Soul Foundation is Lee.  Lee has played with serveral local bands wich include City Park, Meanstreak, East Side Pharoahs, Paragon, Decade, Velocette and Wicked Blue.  Lee entered and won a best drummer contest wich he won a Pearl drumset that  he still plays to this very day!  Lee "The Delecruz Missle" is the thunder and pulse behind Soul Foundation.
