"STARWAVE"band…. Is a POWERFUL GROOVING MELODIC fusion-jazz-latin-rock performing group of INSTRUMENTAL MUSICAL COMPOSITIONS delivered by VIRTUOUS PERFORMERS in a COMMERCIAL SOUNDING approach. Band’s members are basically Cuban musicians, assented in Europe (Belgium), with an extended concert experience trough this territory and Cuba among others.Influenced by Chick Corea, Dave Weckl, Latin Jazz consecrates and Brazilian and Cuban music.*****WATCH THE VIDEOS!!!!!*****"Starwave" quartet have been set up in the year 2000 by the Cuban jazz pianist Sergio Valente (ex member of the well-known Cuban Latin-jazz bands "Cauce","Juan Pablo Torres","Cuarto Espacio","Jose-Maria Vitier","Sonido Contemporaneo","Fusion 4", performing with some of them at several ”Havana International Jazz Plaza Festival”, was member of the "National Commission of Artistic Evaluation" and professor at the "International Stages of Cuban Music"(Havana), Winner of the first price at the “Fourth Ignacio Cervantes National PIANO Competition of Classical Music, Havana 1990",weekly performs on Cuban TV as leader of the band "ATLANTIDA", tours for the "Agency of Scene Arts"(Cuban TV)with his band "RETO"("Challenge")),with bass player Dennis Nicles ,actively on Latin-jazz scene ("El Tattoo del Tigre","Afro-Cuba","Orquesta Aché Havana"), russian jazz drummer Dmitri Tsvetkov active in latin, jazz and ethnical projects (tours from New York to San Francisco with the “Farlenders”(fusion of funk and folklore),"Nicolaj Copernicus"(tours by all Russia, as in France and Holland), "Hi-Life Band","Micheal Ningocello","Gnawa") , and tenor jazz saxophonist Ruben Valle, graduated in classical music in Cuba and recently at the "Royal Flemish Academy" in Antwerp, jazz department, active in Latin–jazz projects("North Side Jazz Orchestra (Big Band)", , Project of trombonist Phil Abraham for the young musicians known as “BCBG”,"Orquesta Aché Havana","Grupo Contrabando").
