About Band
StereoReform is a band with the ability to move from groove-oriented melody to rhythm ravaged rock with finesse. Being a 3 piece is no limitation, as each member can actually play their instruments. Neil's vocals can be raw and powerful or smoothe and subtle. StereoReform is influenced by the complexity and chaos of jazz, the drive of riff rock, the feel of funk and the hook of pop.
And the story goes...Neil left Tennessee in 2006 and headed to Charleston, SC in search of gainful employment and a band. He brought with him about 100 songs to pull from for whoever he met. He ended up meeting a guy at work, Derf, and they began searching for a drummer. They found Clay Corley and through him Will Evans was brought in a few months later. StereoReform was then known as Anteroom. Derf left the band shortly after they began playing live in March 2007. When the lineup changed the band felt the name must change as well and they began to go by StereoReform in June 07. With a new name the guys played many successful shows in South Carolina and after nearly a year they decided to move to LA. The band began recording their debut album with Keith Cooper and Killingsworth Recording Co in Hollywood, CA. Clay opted to leave the throne and help in other ways so Cre Moore, a friend of the band and a talented drummer, could step in. The album, Robots of Evolution, has some of the old songs and a couple new ones with music written by both Neil and Will.
StereoReform is moving into a music industry that is full of holes and uncertainty. The scene is dominated by hip hop, teen pop, stadium clone rock, and fake punk. There are many exceptions however and they hope to become one of them. This will be the Groove Revolt and they hope to lead it one note at a time.
