About Artist
I am a solo singer/songwriter/guitarist in southeastern Michigan. Presently I am writing and recording an acoustic album independently. The album is called "Finding Out" and is a collection of songs written since September, 2007, with the exception of one track, "Goddess Divine", which was written in late 2006/early 2007.
I do not try to define my music by genres or styles, opting to write and perform about what inspires me in whatever way I can find to fit the emotion best. Many of my songs are about my amazing relationship with my soon-to-be wife, Jenny, and our story together. The others are about past experiences, experiences of friends, and political/social issues.
I have been in several bands since 2000-2001, most notably the band Maelstrom in which I was the lead singer and occasionally played rhythm guitar. Other acts include Nebulous, Five Dollar Word, and Hywire.
My musical influences include: Incubus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Audioslave, Coheed and Cambria, Dashboard Confessional, Jimmy Eat World, Stone Temple Pilots, Foo Fighters, Emery, Anberlin, and many more.
