About Band
Right OK we are S.U.B or Suburban Underground Bizness. We are a Drum & Bass collective from Romford, Greater London. Our collective contains 5 DJ's, K-Tek, A-Man, Funk, Neves & G Squared + 2 MC's, Jak Da Spliffa & Bee. We have been together (give or take a few members) for nearly 5 years now. We started out promoting our own nights locally in Romford and collaborating with our small local promotors. Our nights were Friction and Scrambled Headz. We also worked close with Clockwork and established a link back in the early days with their promotion. Back in 2005 was our first move into the pirates when we were invited onto Lush 107.0 FM. After leaving the statiion to find a better launch point life took over and S.U.B's members couldn't commit as much as they would have liked to the cause. Even though we continued to evolve as a collective. A-Man & Bee were doing a weekly show on PlanetDnB, Stuta joined Force 106.5 FM and K-Tek & A-Man continued to play out at different nights around London & Essex. in 2006 Jak Da Spliffa joined S.U.B and started a link up with MC Bee. in 2006/7 Clockwork was just getting off the ground and once again S.U.B teamed up with them. Come 2007 and S.U.B were more focused than ever and it wasn't long before we were receiving bookings and radio shows. in 2008 DJ's K-Tek, A-Man & Funk joined the ranks of Force 106.5 closely followed by MC's Spliffa & Bee. 2008 was as a great year for us, welcoming DJ's Neves & G-Squared to S.U.B and also we were appearing regularly at Force FM nights and also appearing at other nights in Essex & London. 2008 saw us do the warm up set for Erb n' Dub & UNCZ (Skibbadee, Harry Shotta, Fun) + Ratpack and also appear on the same flyer as Harry Shotta, Modified Motion, Shabba-D & Yardie). Onwards and upwards in 2009 as Neves & G-Squared joined the radio ranks, Neves guesting on our Monday night show and G-Squared joining Pace-T on the Parlezment Sounds Wednesday show. We also are gracing the same stage as Nicol & Eksman in February with Ratpack as well on the flyer this night will be one of our biggest yet. With lots more stuff in the pipeline Suburban Underground Bizness are hoping 2009 will be a massive year big up to all those that lock in every week
