About Artist
Swarm is not a band yet, but just me, Sven, writing and recording my own songs on an analogue 4-track machine.
So far this work has spawned four demos since 2002, with the music being located somewhere between Nirvana, Silverchair, Tool, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Union Youth, McLusky, Melvins, Minor Threat aso. Basically everything from the musical periphery of these and resembling bands, before them and after them, has its influence on the Swarm sound. Beyond that the music becomes more and more open to different ideas from different directions, breaking down past restrictions and boundaries of a former "dark and heavy only" ethic.
Recently Swarm has found support through international collaboration. Canadian drummer and songwriter Zeke of The Power Exchange has added incredible drum programming to the song Snail Ride featured here.
More collaboration is already on its way.
This will give a first impression of what Swarm sounded like if it was a real band. But I'm still looking for a live rythm section.
At the moment Swarm resides in Munich, Germany. So if anyone should happen to be interested in joining me, it would be helpful if they were from somewhere not too far away from here.
