The Idea  

 

"The After Dark Core" Band is a group of  session players formed and produced by Rich Cassenti. The bands second CD “The Critic" is featured on this page. After 3 years of building the recording facility , Rich was able to put the key players in place as a core team, physically and virtually, to produce this CD.  This CD features Howard and Gary 's Saxual expressions playing Rich's melodic sentiments created on his mini moog. Blending Fusion with funk along with progressive and smooth jazz styles, the core players come to life and blend their instrumental styles into "The After Dark Core".  Here are a few cuts from the un-release 9 track project.  Hope you all enjoy it! I currently live and write Music in Galloway  NJ but my roots are Mount. Holly . I have been writing music for a number of years but never to the level of complexity as it has reached from 2005 thru 2008. I write music for multiple Genres but Jazz,  instrumentals and soundtracks are my heart.  I built After Dark Core Recording (ADCR) to produce myself and some of my Regional musician friends that I have worked with over the years. No one ever had  money to go to recording studio's and no one understood the technology so I took matters into my own hands and just did it so we could all write songs and not have to worry about  expressing our idea's while the clock was ticking and the studio owners were looking for us to empty our pockets . ADCR is not a business. It is the home to 5 fine musical writers and 25 session players who just want to create music without cost attached. This page features the boys just cutting loose.
