About Band
The Blitz we're formed in 1978 by Phil Long, John Halke and Jez Holloway.
1979 Andy Palmer joined as frontman
They we're at the right place at the right time and were one of the very first NWOBHM bands fusing the energy of punk to metal.
However their progress was halted as John, Jez and Andy were constantly touring as sound crew for the likes of ACDC and Saxon.
John Halke went on to produce for Magnum and tour with Manfried Mann, Phil Long went on to form and tour with the Fabulous Fezheads
