The Drunken Shenanigans were launched in late 2008, completely by accident.  After years of not creating any music, Scott - aka Prescott Willis - was hit with a sudden burst of creativity.  He began writing, refining, recording, and mixing as much as possible in his spare time, which isn't much.  Lacking any sort of technical knowledge, he made the sounds song as best he could with the equipment available to him in his one-bedroom hovel of an apartment he called "home."

The inspiration came from several sources - bands he discovered and fell in love with, rememberances of old friends, a bent-but-not-broken heart, the beer and whiskey soaked adventurs and laughs shared with his wonderful, supportive, and far more talented friends, and even his Grandmother's name.

His hope is that the music, while unpolished, will strike a chord with listeners, stiring memories of lost loves, found friends, family, good times and laughter.

Prescott is now in the process of trying to assemble a band for live recordings, which should provide a more organic sound and make the songs better.  The hope is to be able to play some shows in late 2009.  He will keep you posted via this page on any progess he makes.
