Now veterans of the Sioux City scene, these two emcees (MC Brew, The Top Civilian) and one deejay/producer (DJ Poyo) are known for their funkdafied jungle beats, dope freestyles, philosophical musings, wild instrumentation, and off-the-wall lyrics. The Gateway Drug has appeared in the Siouxland Weekender and on the front page of the Sioux City Journal. Members formerly DJ’ed and / or appeared on both Sioux City college radio stations. In addition, the fellas have shared stages with Kanser, The Reminders, Soulcrate Music, Blue Felix, Ernie Rhodes, Truth & Adapt, Lazer Rocket Arm, and many more!!
