While Hip Hop is having a mid-life crises and every veteran feels it
necessary to deem it "dead", my approach to the mic is declaring that
"hip hop still alive in every line I rhyme". I've been doing this
since I could spell my name and I'll be doing it to my grave. It's
more than Hip Hop or whose king, queen, #1 whatever, my goal is be on
everybodys mind at some point in life and be acknowledged as a god given lyricst. I
grew up in the slum of my city so I know all about what a trapper
feels, I know what a two jobs, one mom, no father, pay bills in high
school kid feels like, I know what a college drop out feels like, I
feel I relate on so many levels and each point in my life decisions
had to be made. I just want to be morally sound, politically
incorrect, and the example that the impossible is in fact a possible.
I am Hip Hop. Hip Hop isn't one thing, it isn't tangible, it isn't
80's, 90's, 2020, it's right now to me and to whomever it blesses.
It's rock, jazz, rap, confession, church, love, hate, all the above.
The reason I stand out, is because there is only one of me, none
before her and none to come. I am one of one. This life was created before I could
fathom what life meant therefore, everything I was meant to do or say
has already been scripted. I'm just sticking to my script. It's a lot
of people stepping outside they description and unfortunately, people
buy it. I believe my ability to be real, vunerable, naked and honest
allows me to stand outside the box comfortably. I can be cocky and
convicted in the same sentence. That's real. I want the chains cause I
come from nothing,but I'm gonna die with nothing so what's more
important?
I hope that's a good explaination as to how my mind works. I appreciate you listening to my music. If you're management get at me. If you want to work with me get at me. If you love it let me know.
