About Band
THE LEAGUE OF ONE
One can be many different things to many different people. To some, it is the loneliest number. Others might see a number that can divide all, and yet changes nothing when multiplied. Still others see One as a badge of honour, representing all that is noble and good about standing out from a crowd. On a daily basis though, more and more music fans are discovering the One is the whole of all that is good in music of late. Yes, The League of One is indeed that good. Driven by an inspired mix of influences that span over three decades of heavy rock, the League is certain to have your head banging, fist pumping, and ears bleeding!!!
Although they've only existed scince 2005, with the aid of thier debut CD, "Orange", The League of One's fan base has grown rapidly. League shows are always well attended and well received. First timers are easy to spot: they're the ones with thier jaws hanging wide open, as if waiting for an imaginary dentist. The more seasoned fans are often singing the infectious melodies that are the showpiece of the League's unique sound. Driven by the creative drumming of Eric Stone (69), and the rock-solid bass playing of the Reverend Mervin J. (9), the power trio is fronted by axeman and vocalist Will Maeder (420). These veteran musicians combine to put the power in power trio, but they are also very thoughtful and reflective at times. With insightful and unexpected lyrics, solid songs, thunderous riffs, angelic harmonies, screaming guitars and more, only one thing is for sure; after experiencing The League of One, you will be changed forever...
