About Band
The Lever Pulled are an acoustic based trio from Corner Brook, Newfoundland. Influenced by musical artists such as John Frusciante, Matthew Good, The White Stripes, Hayden, Eels, Bob Dylan, etc., the band is open to and explores diverse musical directions while keeping within their acoustic framework. Members Mark Hoyles, Brent MacLean, and Mark Green write, perform, record, and produce all of the song material as well as conceptualizing, designing, and producing the artwork and photography for the Cd covers and inserts.
February 9th, 2008 saw the release of "cloudwork", The Lever Pulled's 6th Cd since 2004. Initial recording was done with the guys sending one another ideas and recorded tracks over the Internet as three of them were living in three different cities. When all three were in Corner Brook for the Christmas holidays they recorded almost daily to complete the Cd. The cover photographs were taken by Brent at the laboratory where he was employed. Recording is now under way for the next Cd.
