the north begun in 2007 under Damon Lunn (vocals/guitar) and Josh Wilding (Lead Guitar). Through a mutual love of music and a common passion for Oasis two got together, when by both admissions 'pissed out of their eds' and began writing tunes. The two would find a way to play wherever and whenever they could and have since been writing tunes together, playing them to mates at local venues. Acoustically the north  had limitations, and a four peice set up was needed to continue. Sam Turbitt was approached, who would go on to play bass for the band, along with an old friend Joe Flannery who subsequently became the drummer. Since, the north have adapted a new harder rock sound and continue to write and play together regularilly. With things moving faster than ever...... this is just the beginning.

'good, raw, real' (Californian DJ Richard Filaccio) on his No.9 No.9 show At this moment the NORTH sound like a mash up of the Rolling Stones, Pearl Jam, and BRMC.
