About Band
The Panic Theory started in 2004, it was comprised of a few village-folk who were bored as a joke band just to mess about with. Their first song 'My Rock Band' was a big hit with the parents but the brave pop/ punk rockers Patrick English (current drummer), Tom Nugent (current lead guitar), and Rorbert English soon realised that it was not going to work. The trio carried on with much needed success when bassist Ellis Anderton joined the trio. When Robert English left the band Beth Pope, a talented young musician joined the the ranks and progressed very well.
As their first gig loomed, the night before they were in a mess. Ellis trying hard not to let the band down and this is the first time they had ever played together. But all hope was lost when Tom rang up Pat the next morning saying that he had spewed his guts out the night before. They had to pull out.
Then the Christmas concert came into view and the band were ready. then Ellis left in a suprise outburst.
Then, The Panic Theory (then known as The Deserted) made a double recruitment, Richard Warner (current bass) and Jack Thorn(vocals). But in a few weeks Jack left and Alex Harrison (current vocals)was asked to join and came into the band in 30 seconds! The band soldiered on creating a new name (Vital Signs) and more songs!
They then entered the showcase in September 2006 and got through the first round easily. Then Beth left, and Alex, Tom, Richard and Pat vowed to carry on...
And carry on they did into the second round of the showcase under the new name of 'The Panic Theory' and put on a show to rival all others.
A brilliant effort and great performance wowed the crowd and smashed them into a strong position awaiting the results for the final round. Then when The Panic Theory decided to beef up the sound, Karl acceped to become the new guitarist for The Panic Theory
