About Band
The Steve Riley Band bursts into the music scene in 2003 with their first album entitled "Miles From Nowhere". The album received nationwide acclaim from music producers and publishers as well as music lovers alike. Starr Light, one of the songs from the album, reached number one status on the indie music charts. Another song from the album, Lady Of Gold, received Honorable Mention from the 13th Annual Billboard World Songwriting Contest in 2004. Also, the song Lets Make It Clear, was included on the Unsigned, Sealed and Delivered - Volume 2 compilation CD released by Bullseye Records of Canada.
In May of 2007, the band (now called The Riley-Wyman Factor) released a four-song promo to radio stations as a prelude the their forthcoming new album "The Riley-Wyman Factor". The album is scheduled for release in December, 2007. The promo has received glowing reviews from some top-notch music reviewers and publishers. In fact, three of the four songs on the EP have already been included on three different compilation CD's distributed to radio worldwide. (Apache Rose Publishing - Best New Bands - 2006 - "Magic Man" . Apache Rose Publishing - Best New Bands V2 - 2007 - "After Sage". Acoustic Rainbow - Volume 29 - 2007 - "May Not Matter".)
The new album will contain 9 songs. Seven new songs (including the four from the promo), one cover song(Cat Stevens - one of Steve Riley's musical influences) and two songs from the first album (Miles From Nowhere) re-recorded and remixed, with a little "Factor Flair". The album contains a variety of musical styles and genres. Keith "muzikman" Hanneleck writes that "the variety of genre's covered leaves you wanting more. Rock, country and blues enthusiast alike will find The Riley-Wyman Factor one of the more compelling and original releases of 2007."
