About Band
Gary Alonzo Thomaston (born January 19, 1983), better known by his stage name ,L.A which stands for Lyrikal Arsonist, is a businessman, producer, and rap/hip hop artist. He is the CEO of Thrax Muzik Entertainment Company and currently provides recording and production services for various artists.
Along with his financial successes, L.A completed his first solo album "Flame On Da Track" in 2005 followed by "In My Mind" in 2009. He is also involved in in numerous projects which revolved with his passion for collaboration. Cyko the Lyrikal Arsonist has a stage presence that will "Rock" any show and is guaranteed to please the crowd. He has performed with many artist that have graced Atlanta including Gangsta Boo, Bone Crusher, D4L, VIC, Montana da Mac, ect.
Currently L.A is working on his third solo project as well as G.R.I.T.S, (due to be released Winter 2009). In the midst of "serving tracks" and providing studio time, Lyrikal Arsonist continues to create a sound unprecedented and unpredictable.
Ms Gemini, born Shanika Ford on June 8, 1983, spent her first ten years of her life in Frankfurt, Germany. With hip hop not being readily available, she depended on her father (who resided in the States) to send VHS tapes of music videos. By the age of 7, Ms "G" memorized songs from artist like Salt-N-Peppa, Heavy D, Tone Loc, Jodi Watley, ABC, Babyface, Boys 2 Men and many others of that time. She developed a love for singing, rapping, and writing and began writing poetry by 10 years old.
After Ms Gemini's mother was deployed to Iraq in 1990, she came to Atlanta, Ga. to live with her dad. A natural born Track Star, her focus was mainly on running and helping maintain her fathers Laundry Mat, Drug Eporium, and family candy business. This was her first introuction and insight on becoming an entrepenuer.
While attending North Atlanta High School, Ms. Gemini met Lyrikal Arsonist through a mutual friend. This meeting once again opened the musical side of her. Begining as a support system for L.A (hip/hop rap artist), she developed a skill for marketing and became his manager. On the flip-side of the entertainment industry , she learned how to book shows, network, and what the "people" really want and need.
While attending a studio session , Ms Gemini was invited on a track and after listening to herself, realized the talent she possessed. Since then, she has completed her solo project, "Word Play" (2009) and is currently collaborating with various artist. Not many can compare to Ms. Gemini's vicious style of rap and versatile singing voice.
