Tim Walter

About Artist

Tim Walter started playing guitar at a young age and his passion for the instrument has grown over the years. Originally trained to play worship choruses and special numbers in church, in his twenties he discovered blues and has never looked back. Principal formative influences have been Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughn, as well as Carlos Santana and Billy Gibbons. Others include Buddy Guy, BB King and more recently Joe Bonamassa.

He plays a variety of instruments, recognizing that each type of instrument yields different sounds and actually affects playing styles of the artist. In the interests of having a wide palette of sounds, he plays Gibson Les Pauls,  Fender Stratocaster,  Fender Telecaster Thinline, a vintage Gibson ES125  from the '50s, and other various and sundry instruments. Amps include Mesa Boogie Road King, Fender Deluxe 65 Reissue, Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and a modified Peavey Classic 30.

He has been a songwriter for a number of years, but has been especially focusing on this craft for the past few years.  This site will be used to show some of his songs in demo form.

Tim has played in a number of bands both in the US and internationally. He is currently part of the power trio, Stolen Goods Blues Band (www.stolengoodsband.com).

He is currently single.
