Emerging from the defective corner of North-West England, known as the inglorious Lytham St.Annes comes Trappist, the 3-piece metal/hard rock outfit. Transcending from previous experiments with band configuration, Trappist have recently entrenched their prestige with the completion of their first demo E.P, "Terror Tears". The 3-track E.P reiterates the bands plight to re-invent and resurrect heavy music as it should be – brutal, honest and goddamn vulgar.
Although it may be cliché to claim Trappist possess a totally original sound, this statement does undoubtedly carry an air of truth in the case of the Trappist trio. Evidently, music of influential bearing to the band is apparent within parts of their sound, however, this becomes trivial when the overall Trappist sound is absorbed.
This is heavy music stripped back to its core.
Where most bands kicking out the heavy noise at present are opting to incorporate their heavy with thrash, hardcore or melodic vibes, Trappist stand alone. The deafening heavy Trappist have created is a dexterous accumulation of metal, blues, rock & sludge, adhering ultimately to the power of the riff..... Just Listen.
The fate of this up and coming band has surely been predestined to the main stage in years soon to come....
