The Twinfolkz emerged from the streets of Chicago,Illinois. They broke into the hip-hop scene in 1996 with their debut album, Sticky Situation. Though they could sing, write, rap, Dj and produce music, it was a must for them to participate in local talent showcases, parties, and network at club venues. Twinfolkz has opened up for artists such as Mystical,Krs-One,J-KWON,Clispe and many more. Bigz and Majors focus was not only producing for future album projects, they were into composing songs for music placements for other independent companies such as TAXI and Sonicbids. From auditioning for the Showtime at the Apollo, they had an opportunity of making it to the semi finals at the Virginia Theatre in Champaign, Illinois. The Twinfolkz recently performed a song that they wrote and produced called "Fighting Illini" on the 7 O'Clock News (WCFN Channel 3) viewable to over 108 communities across Central Illinios. They have worked on radio promotions for some independent Entertainment companies like Dex Chi Entertainment and Coming up Magazine. Over the years, These twin brothers have dedicated themselves to providing their services to local businesses by producing theme songs for organizations such as the Broke Phi Broke and the Redliners of Chicago. TwinFolkz have also done some production for a basketball documentary called the “American Basketball Association” featuring Hot Sauce and Half Man/Half Amazing from the And One Mixtape. THE TWINFOLKZ ARE THE FIRST RAP GROUP TO SIGN WITH THE ONE OF THE WORLDS LARGEST ONLINE GAMING NETWORK GAMERSALOON.COM~ Over 280,000 Members. TwinFolkz have wrote and produced a promotional song for Gamersaloon.com. Bigz and Major have recently recorded there new single "Show & Tell" with special guest appearance Smoke E. Digglera former lead singer of R&B group "Playa"(Cheers 2 U). Twinfolkz are now working on there album "Mistaken Identity" which will be released in the spring of 2010. As you can see, this is just the beginning of the Twinfolkz journey to success.
