About Band
Hey everybody who reads this we are Velvet Tears we are a Surrey, British Columbia, Based band. Velvet Tears is made up of 4 guys, Michael Murray on Guitar and Back up Vocals, Travis Phillifant on Lead Vocals and Guitar, Jerome Santos on Drums, and Jon Morin on Bass and backup vocals. Our main influences are, Bullet for my Valentine, Billy Talent, Senses Fail, Rise Against, Anti-Flag, Nickelback, Green Day and tonnes more. Were nearly done recording our first album titled, 'The Lost Road to Nowhere' and we will have the songs on this site as soon as it is done being recorded. The titles that will be on the site for sure are, The Mislead, 40 Yard Mission, All is lost but not Forgotten, and we havent decided on the rest. Next Summer We are going on Tour around the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island and maybe Alberta, Were trying not to go to far since guitarist and back up vocalist, Michael Murray has some family events happening. The venues where you can find us are, Fleetwood Community Center, Elgin Hall, Douglas Community Center, Croation Cultural Center, different places around Abbotsford, Mission, Richmond, Vancouver, Surrey, Maple Ridge and Vancouver Island. We will post our tour dates and Venues on this site when we have more information.
Our Equipment:
Travis Phillifant: Line 6 Spider III Cab and Head. Cab=300W and Head= 75W, Fender Stratocaster and Epiphone Les Paul Guitars, Dunlop Picks, Different Microphones and Moniters all the time. Samson Epiphone Wireless system.
Michael Murray: Line 6 Spider III Cab and Head. Cab=300W and Head=75W, Fender Stratocaster and Epiphone Les Paul Custom Guitars, Microphones are different all the time same with Moniters, Dunlop Picks, Samson Epiphone Guitar wireless system, Guitar Effects and Tones and Tuner box with pedal which sits on floor.
Jon Morin: Fender, Ampeg Amplifiers, Fender and Epiphone Basses. Microphones and moniters are different all the time, and Dunlop Picks.
Jerome Santos: Pearl Drums, Zildjian and Sabian Cymbals, DW Hardware, Remo Skin, Sticks,Microphones are different all the time.
