Our music has been played on many radio stations both locally and nationally; including WEIB Radio 106.3 Smooth FM as their featured recording artists.

Our original songs include such genres as blues, funk, rap, soul, hip-hop, house, contemporary and R&B...

THE VERTICAL PASSION BAND

 We are The Vertical Passion Band-

Ralph Hunt, Bass and David Zoppi, Keyboards;   met in 1999 and worked together in several bands before embarking out on their own to form The Vertical Passion Band.  They also went on to do recording work; which spanning many years of writing, creating and composing to produce their CD; which includes an eclectic selection of: Funk, Rap, Soul, Latin, Hip-Hop, House, Contemporary and R&B.  The Vertical Passion Band’s hot new CD has recently been released on Amazon entitled 'I GUESS WE BOTH AGREE'  .

<sup>BIOGRAPHY: DAVID JAMES ZOPPI - KEYBOARDS

David James Zoppi -  Song writer, musician, entertainer and recording artist. Dave has an extensive musical background and is quite versatile; as well as having a Masters degree in Counseling and a Ph.D in Business and studying Music Theory at the Hartford Conservatory;  and mentoring with the great Organ Masters Joe Urriccio, Joe Baracco and Salvatore Auretta. In addition to being the self-proclaimed   King of the Hammond Organ; Dave plays Horn, String and other accompaniment as well as other instruments utilizing his keyboards to provide rich orchestrations... An award-winning organist; Dave has received the  Louis Armstrong Jazz Award ; and the  Liberace Keyboard Entertainer Search Award for the New England Region... He also opened for the Mercer Ellington Big Band in Upstate New York and worked with such bands as: Funk Em All and Nancy Lynn and a Touch of Brass; performing the Sheraton and Hilton Circuit for ABC Associated Booking Agency in New York.

Dave has worked with many fine bands including:  Nancy Lynn & A Touch of Brass, blues bands  and many other groups over the years.  I recently co-wrote and released a CD on Amazon called "I Guess We Both Agree" from my group The Vertical Passion Band.  Coming from a musical family; my Grandfather Phil Zoppi, was General Manager for WPOP in the 1950's when it was a Rock & Roll Station, and Channel 18 in Hartford in the 1960's.</sup>

<sup>BIOGRAPHY: RALPH HUNT - BASS

Ralph Hunt (AKA Doc Funn) -  is the Bass Player with the Vertical Passion Band, musician, song writer and Entertainer;  formerly with the nationally known band Xavier who co-wrote their hit song "WORK THAT SUCKER TO DEATH' (1982).

BIOGRAPHY: MICHAEL BARACCHI - DRUMS

Bitten by the drum bug from childhood enrolled in the public school music curriculum studied private for a short time. Started playing profesionaly in polka & standard gen buisness bands at the ripe old age of 12 years when the band members had to sign as my gardian. Ended up in a top 40 show band for 3 years playing the sheraton / marriott hotel circuit along the east coast. started a family and completly took a 13 year break from playing,  in 2007 a friend convinced me to get back in the circuit, and I have'nt looked back.Past gigs in bands from Equinox, BadMonkey, Ultimatum, performing in all the top "A" rooms in the area, When IM not on my Roland electronic V-Tour kit you'll Find me playing my maple shell rosewood finished Pearl acoustic drumkit, I use a combination of Sabian,Zildjian,Paiste Cymbals, Evans heads and Vicfirth 5A nylon tiped sticks.</sup> 

_{BIOGRAPHY: DANNY MARTI - GUITAR}

From under the shadows of a House built by Ruth, born amidst the soot and traffic of the South Bronx, the son of a poet, began a musical fare, salted by New York City Soul. Danny Marti,  “...everybody in the Bronx uses both names..”,  learned to sing in the subway stations of Greenwich Village, and  performing  in The New York club scene.  Dan’s performances are as relevant and entertaining today, as when at the age of 16, he was pulled into the local New York City club scene.Front Man and Guitarist for show bands and soul groups like: The Chariots, The Puppets, Moonlight Orchestra, Wilderness, Down Five and Hot Funn;  Dan plays and sings a tantalizing style of  R&B,  Smooth Jazz and NYC Dance Music with a  an eclectic yet contemporary kaleidoscope of gritty textures and torrid temperatures! ^{Danny, a family man, whose sons just happen to be John Lennon Song Writing winners, delivers an “on-stage” energy that is timelessness!}
