The debut album "Let's Ride" will be released April 24, 2007.
Vicky Valentine is a southern girl remaining true to her roots below the Mason-Dixon line. Vicky Valentine is able to stir souls through her original poetic writings and crafty messages in her songs. “Her voice took hold of my soul and I didn’t want it to let loose!” a woman said after witnessing Vicky Valentine in a melodic performance. It has been testimonies such as these that led to Vicky Valentine being the director and lead singer of the acapella-gospel group, The Arkansas Christian Ensemble.
Vicky Valentine’s melodious harmony complimented Memphis independent rap artist Bukwild in 2002 on his debut album, Like It Or Deal With It. This exposed Vicky Valentine to a demanding Mid-South audience and Memphis producers Corry Silc and D.J. 2 Smooth.
Vicky Valentine went on to be featured on Corry Silc’s Promotional CD, Memphis’ Unsigned Hype and his debut album Tha Blazin Haven. She also worked with Memphis recording artist Davito Profaci on various projects. Vicky Valentine recently completed a single, Dreamin’, which will be featured on the upcoming soundtrack for the independent film, Generational Curses: The legend of the 4-runners filmed in Nashville, TN. Vicky Valentine is currently working on her much anticipated debut album Let’s Ride featuring the hit singles I’m a Rida, Perfect Day, and the title track Let’s Ride.
When asked why she wants to be an artist, Vicky Valentine says, “Since I was a child I’ve dreamed of being on stage. My family has always believed in me and my father especially hoped that my dream would come true. I was always afraid to try but since I lost him in 2000, I have found the courage to reach for my dreams. I feel it is my time and I’m going for it with everything I have to give.”
Giving it her all and proving her worth earned Vicky Valentine her place as 1st Runner Up in the Memphis Idol Showcase.
