About Band
Vipera is a metal band from Tucson, Arizona, consisting of currently four members.
The drummer Braulio Gonzalez, Lead Guitarist Lujendra Ojha, Bassist Robert Houndshell, and Vocalist Alex Kline. One thing notable about Vipera is that all of it’s members are of different ages, and religious backgrounds. Bralio(sophomore), Robert(Senior), and Alex(Sophomore) currently attend Tucson High Magnet School. Guitarist Luju left Tucson High last year as a graduating senior of the class of 2007 and currently attends the University of Arizona.
One thing that’s great about being in this band is just being able to make music we all like and doing with good friends adds to the pleasure. One thing that comes up in our music a lot is religion, and being a band with members of different religions that have ideals that may conflict it’s good to be able to release that into the music.
But things weren’t always this way, Vipera began in early 2006 as an unnamed group of friends. A bassist, a guitarist, a singer, and a drummer, Alex Kline on bass, Lujuendra Ojha on guitar, Tyler Mycleese on the mic, and Minsu Choe on drums and percussion. This small garage band had a falling out only two months of play, the bassist and guitarist later formed up with a friend from school on drums, Bralio Gonzales. We were in lack of a good rhythm guitarist and sought one out, after about a month of searching we actually turned to one of Bralio’s friends who’s skill on guitar rivaled that of Lujus, his name was Guili. After another month went by Guili went his own way a formed a band with a good friend of the band as well as a good techy, Miguel AKA Tamales.
One day during practice we decided we needed a vocalist seeing as none in the band seemed up for it, we talked about it that day but didn’t know anyone at the time. Later during the day Luju and Bralio overheard Alex reciting some KoRn. Alex isn’t a spectacular bassist, although much better on vocals. Now the band was missing a bassist and rhythm guitarist. Then Vipera met Robert at Tucson High and heard he played bass, We listened to some of his stuff and he was pretty good. So now Vipera has a basic four piece band, all we need is a rhythm guitarist. So far we haven’t found one, and we’ve gotten by quite fine. So currently we are producing and mastering our first album/CD, we’ve already released a Demo titled The New Era with Five tracks on it. The new album will include re-mastered versions of all songs from The New Era as well as two new songs, All But One, and Exterminate as well as any other songs we crank out…
Recently our old rythem guitarist rejoin aswell as a backing vocalist and guitarist and overall cool guy, miguel...
