Well Ill Start of by Saying My Stage Name Is Yung Maq but i was Born Augustine Maquabano Nkhonjera!! I was Born In Lilongwe in Malawi.I lived in Mozambique from 1999-2006!!I have been studying in South Africa at ISSA in Mafikeng from 2001-2005!!!I did most of my primary school in Maputo in Mozambique and i am currently studying IT at Tshwane University Nelspruit campus!!!I was into hip-hip from the age of 6 when my uncle brought a snoop dogg tape to the house.I would listen to snoop dogg everyday and memorize the words.At the age of 11 i was so into ip-hop and music in general that my father had to cancell DSTV for about a month because he wanted me to stop listening to so much music.That did't stop me i still listend to it.At the age of 14 my Father asked me what i want to be when im older i told him a rapper,i sagged my pants and only wore baggy clothes!!!I started writng poems and letters to girls at the gae of 11 and i was very good at it. A Hip-hop artist in my school his name was Danny and he was from Uganda,he told me i should start rapping because i had been singing at Variety shows for 3 years 2 years at the time.I told mysel i would, in 2004 i wrote my first song in 15mins and i almost missed the audition for the variety show. When i got to the audtion i rocked and they put me as the first performance. The V-show was the following weekend and i came first place with the award for best song in 2004,i was in form 4(Grade10) and i beat all the guys in grade 11 and grade 12 who had been rapping for 3-4 years!!!In 2007 i went to Nelspruit i rapped once at a valentines ball with the same song i won with and i rocked,i got a producer who was a friend of mine named soft Beat to give me beats and another friend called Pride.I made more than 22 songs in 2007 and im still going on and just waiting for an opportunity to arise so i make it in musci and bring up hip-hop in South Africa or if im lucky the united States!!
